Sournale's Journal

Context: For the better part of 3 years, I have obsessively documented my life in the form of a diary. That being said, I don't write as much as I used to. Because back then everyday from December 20th, 2021 - August 28th, 2023, I had written anywhere from 500-1500 words describing what I did that day, EVERY DAY. Anywhere from dreams, to what I ate, to who I talked to that day, has been documented. The downside is that it took so much work to do, I had easily spent hundreds of hours writing in that journal every day for a year and a half. The pro is the satisfactory results. When I am older, hell even now as a 17 year old, I can say... look back at my life when I was 14 down to the detail of a specific day. Nowadays I write in my journal about twice a month. I have no idea when I'm going to stop writing on it since this already pushed me to the absolute limit of how much I could of wrote per day. But I know it will be worth it in the end, to eventually turn 30/40/50 and to look back on my youth.

I'm doing future Sam a favor :)

There has been so many slow and tedious bits to writing this that I had to slog through painfully, but overall I'm glad I've created this journal! I have a generally TERRIBLE memory, like a really bad memory. Its worrying because I don't remember anything before the age of 13. So writing down what happened day to day has served as a sort of checkpoint for me to ensure I don't forget... life. I'm going to use what little influence I have as a fairly big youtuber to say that you guys should totally try and write your own diary for yourself at least once :P It doesn't have to be thousands of words long per day, it doesn't have to everyday either. It's just nice and fun to do, and future you will LOVE YOU for documenting your life years ago since its so fascinating how many things people can forget how they lived back then
